I heard about yu-gi-oh as a kid but never saw much of it until February of this year when I decided to watch the first season of the anime and it absolutely became a huge part of me. I became OBSESSED! Why hadn't I seen this sooner? Why didn't I grow up with this? Why hadn't I heard much about it? It was totally up little me's ally but I somehow never touched it as a kiddo. I loved watching the show it made me so happy, Joey Wheeler became my everything, I started collecting cards, I wrote stories for my grade 12 creative writing class that involved yu-gi-oh (not fanfics), I started drawing the characters, following accounts that archived yu-gi-oh art and manga panels, yu-gi-oh really struck a chord with me. I loved the art style and how cool it was! Unfortunately I got busier and busier with school so I couldn't continue watching the next seasons of the anime after finishing season one so my yu-gi-oh phase slowly faded. But while it happened, it genuinely made me so happy. It got to the point where I couldn't wait to get home so I could watch yu-gi-oh. I felt like a kid again. I'm at a point currently where even after graduating from high school finally, I don't feel all too great mentally because of so much stuff happening around the world, it was all too much for me so I had a breakdown. I'm still recovering from that but maybe now's the chance for me to pick things up where I left off with yu-gi-oh :)

Yu-Gi-Oh means a lot to me, it really kept me happy during a time when I was so fed up and tired of school and all I wanted was to graduate. The show with it's ridiculous 4kids dub, the characters, the cards, the artwork of the manga and artwork done by Kazuki Takahashi himself, all of it made me happy and it made me absolutely fall in love with yu-gi-oh and how cool it really is. Yu-gi-oh has impacted a lot of people growing up and even some who were already adults but nonetheless, yu-gi-oh means a lot to so many people including myself and I can't thank Kazuki Takahashi enough for everything

Thank you
